How often do we as parents or children’s workers think, “When we were their age we …”? While we may have been their age once, we were never their age in the cultural milieu in which today’s children are growing up. We need to take notice of some important differences, some which are wonderful and can really enhance our ministry to children, and some which are important to be aware of in order to avoid getting caught in the rip currents of the culture that would drag us in a direction we would rather not go. Bring your questions, your concerns, and your ideas of where you are seeing God’s redemptive hand at work in the lives of today’s children.
