Classroom Strategies for Early Childhood Ministry

I think Early Childhood rooms are the best place to help little ones learn how much Jesus loves them! In this session, we will look at pre-school materials, craft and game ideas, how to schedule a morning, and how to connect with parents. We will use our group time to connect and brainstorm as fun plan for Easter, spring, and summer. We will end our time together with ideas on how to combine the class with older or younger children on days when we  need to close other classrooms. This will be a "hands on" session.

How often do we as parents or children’s workers think, “When we were their age we …”? While we may have been their age once, we were never their age in the cultural milieu in which today’s children are growing up. We need to take notice of some important differences, some which are wonderful and can really enhance our ministry to children, and some which are important to be aware of in order to avoid getting caught in the rip currents of the culture that would drag us in a direction we would rather not go.
